It has free off-road parking and is most conveniently situated within a short walking distance of Torquay's Casino Town Hall Town Centre and shops sea front marina and the Riviera Conference Centre. Doogals Guesthouse is an elegant late Victorian building set in the heart of the Belgravia district of Torquay - under new ownership since November 2007 the hotel has many improvements whilst still retaining its unique charm and character. Ideally located being of equal distance from the seafront and the town with all its shops bars and restaurants. It is perfectly suitable for both families and couples unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stagshens. Fairways. 4 Star Double Silver Award Winning Fairways is ideally situated on the flat and is close to the sea front. There is easy access to facilities such as the Riviera Centre Princess Theatre Torquay's Shopping Centre the Harbour and the quaint thatched village of Cockington. There is ample free car parking on site for all our guests and wireless internet access is also free. We are open all year including Christmas for long or short breaks weekly or mid-weekly bookings. We welcome couples singles and those away from home on business. Rooms are available from 2pm on day of arrival but if you plan to arrive before then let us know and we will do our best to make sure your room is ready. If you are travelling by train or coach we can collect you from the relative station if you let us know your planned arrival time in Torquay. Access StatementThe hotel is situated at the edge of the town centre approximately 400 metres up a hill with a gradient of more than 1:20.The front entrance to the hotel is up winding steps of varying height and treads length from the pavement it is well lit at night until midnight and the front covered porch is well lit until 11.00 pm.A door bell is on the main entrance in the porch and by reception.The bedrooms are all located on the two upper floors no lift is available.There are two flights of stairs between each floor. Thirteen steps and four steps to the first floor and an extra ten steps and five steps to the second floor. A handrail is situated on the left of both the large flight of steps and on the short top flight of steps.Corridors are well lit at all times.Emergency exits are located up the first and third flight of stairs both lead out to back stairways.The back parking area has two small spaces on a slope of less than 1:20 there are steps of varying height and treads length down to the front entrance.Finally please note there is now a 1.50 charge for all Credit Card transactions.

The Downs. We have just been awarded 4 star Guest Accommodation status by Visit Britain. We have a total of 12 en-suite rooms 8 with balconies which enjoy fabulous unobstructed views over Babbacombe Downs stretching along the coastline to Teignmouth and out over Lyme Bay all the way to Portland Bill other facilities include a fully licenced Lounge Bar and Restaurant. Babbacombe is a village within the town of Torquay which is a resort in itself often referred to as the 'Jewel in Torquay's crown' famous for its cliff top promenade which enjoys stunning views across Lyme Bay.Babbacombe Downs is a long stretch of common land with the highest promenade in the country and sweeping wooded cliffs to the beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacombe below.
