Buckfast Abbey presents Unleashed Theatre Company in the award winning musical 'Godspell'.

Godspell is a much loved classic musical which first appeared on Broadway in the early seventies. It is an inventive and colourful reworking of St Matthew's Gospel. This all new open air production at Buckfast Abbey will echo the 2011 Broadway revival which included two new songs written by Stephen Schwartz. With a cast of 50 singers, dancers and actors and a live band it will be a dazzling, spectacular and innovative event. There will be much to attract those who have never seen it before but also with plenty to encourage those who already love it.

Directed by Martin Harris. Musical direction by Mark Thompson. Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak. Music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

Each night at 7.30pm. Doors open 7.00pm – seats unreserved
